Bob Saget's Daughter Shares Childhood Photo & Moving Tribute To Her "Best Friend"

Father’s Day can be a painful holiday for anyone who has lost a parent, and Bob Saget’s daughter Lara knows this difficulty personally since the tragic passing of her famous father earlier this year. But instead of isolating with her grief, Lara took to social media to share a a generous and moving tribute to her father and best friend. She also made a commitment to focus on love and laughter, just like her beloved dad.

In a recent Instagram post, Lara shared her touching message as well as a sweet childhood picture with her father. “My dad wasn’t just my dad, he was my best friend. He wore his heart. He didn’t hide it; he wasn’t afraid of love. My dad simply wanted to share laughter and love with this world,” Lara captioned the post.

“I have noticed how scary it can be to love that big, to open so fully. It can be easier to be angry, fearful, negative. Maybe because love has an infinite quality, it is boundless.”

“My dad taught me that it doesn’t matter what life throws, how hard, how painful, how seemingly impossible. It doesn’t stop that love. He chose love, always,” the 32-year-old artist and yoga instructor continued.

“I commit to doing the same. The love is right here. And it’s my responsibility to give it to myself and to share by living in the love. I love you infinitely, dad. Happy Father’s Day.”

This isn’t the firs time Saget’s second oldest daughter has used social media to highlight the special bond she shared with her father and the incredible things she learned from him. Saget also shared daughters, Aubrey, 35 and Jennifer, 29 with his first wife.

Saget was a beloved actor, comedian, and philanthropist who was married to actor and TV host, Kelly Rizzo. Off camera, Saget devoted his time and comedy to help raise money for scleroderma, a disease that sadly took his sister’s life.

He was of course known for his role as the ideal dad on Full House, raising three precocious daughters as a single dad in San Francisco. But in real life, Saget also raised three daughter and was forever proud of his children.

It’s a testament to Lara Saget’s strength and optimism that she would choose Father’s Day to share her full-hearted message with the world. How beautiful that Bob Saget’s legacy of love lives on through his children.
