Enter: EmBeba’s Soothing Patches for bug bites, rashes, and other skin irritations. Not only are they cute, but they’re designed to make application of skin-soothing ingredients a breeze.

First Impressions

As I pulled the box of EmBeba Soothing Patches out of the mailer, the first thing I noticed was the packaging — the specific box I got (which was the 18-patch variety pack) has a fun, bright orange color featuring a panda cartoon character with a superhero-like cape. I was immediately confident that it would appeal to my kids.

Inside the box were six resealable pouches, each containing three patches in either panda and heart shapes, both of which are adorable.

Testing The EmBeba Soothing Patches

Applying the EmBeba Soothing Patches was a straightforward and quick process — one of the biggest perks of the product, in my opinion. To use, remove a patch from the resealable pouch, pull off the plastic backing, and stick the patch directly to the skin. Easy peasy!

As soon as I put the patch the patch on myself, I noticed an immediate soothing and cooling sensation, which I imagine would feel particularly nice on itchy or irritated skin. I also followed EmBeba’s recommendation of chilling a patch in the refrigerator ahead of time (I tried for about an hour), before placing it on my skin. The pre-chilled patch definitely provided an added cooling effect.

Next, I placed a patch onto my 3-year-old daughter’s skin. While she’s not quite old enough to provide an in-depth rundown about her experience, her willingness to have the patch onto her skin definitely spoke wonders. She thought the patch was cute, and she had no complaints about wearing it either.

Finally, I applied a patch to my 1-year-old son’s skin. He sometimes experiences skin sensitivity, but I was thrilled to find that the EmBeba Soothing Patch didn’t cause any irritation for him. I monitored the area and saw no issues after he wore the patch.

Per the instructions, these patches should be worn for up to 30 minutes. To remove them, simply pull them right off the skin. The patches aren’t super sticky and they don’t leave residue behind.

According To Other Reviewers

While I haven’t had a chance to apply these patches to an itchy bug bite or rash yet, there are plenty of EmBeba reviewers that can attest to their effectiveness. One reviewer commented: “Our granddaughters love these!!! They are magic and seem to cure their itchiness and scratchies!” Another shopper wrote: “My son had so many bug bites [...] and couldn’t stop itching them. He hates the smell of the itch cream we have so it’s a small battle to even get it on him and then he goes to play it just smears off. These little patches go right on the spot and he absolutely loves them. They seem to stop the itch pretty instantly.”

Where You Should Avoid Using These Patches

EmBeba states that you should never apply this product on the eyes or an open wound. And it’s always a good idea to consult a physician if you have any questions or concerns about trying a new product.

Final Verdict

I will definitely continue using these skin-soothing patches on my children’s bug bites and other minor skin irritations. The fact that they’re so easy to use — especially when it comes to kids — is particularly impressive.
