11 Books To Give Your Mom On Mother's Day

by Meg Kehoe

Rather than grabbing a bouquet of flowers at the last minute to send to your mother, why don't you try something a little more heartfelt this year? Why not pick out a few perfect books to give your mother on Mother's Day? Books, after all, last a lot longer than flowers, and they are probably how your mother taught you plenty of lessons growing up. Any mother would appreciate you returning the favor.

If there's something my mother is most proud of about all of her children, it's that she instilled a great joy of reading in all of us. More often than not, you can find my brothers and I elbow deep in our latest find at the bookstore. As kids, we got in trouble for staying up too late reading, not for staying out too late. Books are important to my family. It's only natural that when any holiday rolls around, I head straight to the shelves. Any of the following works would be perfect for any mother —and better yet, perfect for the both of you. Why not pick up two copies, so you two can read it together and discuss? An interactive reading experience for Mother's Day, who can top that?
