11 Ways To Become More Confident In A Day
In a culture so obsessed with telling women what is beautiful, acceptable and normal, it's not surprising that self confidence is a huge road block. Fears of not measuring up or being judged for who they are just par for the course for most. Many women long to find ways to become more self confident, but are unsure of where to start. Though there is no magic formula to promise a huge boost of confidence, there are simple steps towards upping your self esteem that you can take today, or even better, right now.
Recent statistics from Dove's Self-Esteem Project state that by the age of 10, over 81 percent of girls and women in the U.S. aren't comfortable with their bodies. As a mom of two, this statistic is as horrifying as it is motivating. Raising daughters (and sons, for that matter) in a world that is dead set on telling them who to be and how to look isn't a task to be taken lightly. The good news is, change can begin with me. Right now. Learning how to be confident in my self, my abilities and my appearance is one of the most beneficial moves I can make not just for my daughters but for myself.
