Bristol Palin Is Pregnant With Her 3rd Child But Here's Why It's Not Up For Judgement

by Casey Suglia

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is going to be a grandmother yet again. Palin is already a grandmother to three children — but another grandchild is on the way for the politician. According to People, at just 26-years-old Bristol Palin is pregnant with her third child — but she should not be judged for it, at all.

On Friday evening, Bristol announced that she was expecting her third child in a written statement to Entertainment Tonight:

We are so excited to announce that our family is expanding! God has blessed us so much; we are thankful for his grace and new beginnings. A springtime baby in the Meyer home and we can't wait!

This will be Bristol's second child with her husband, Dakota Meyer who have a soon to be 1-year-old daughter named Sailor. Bristol shares her 7-year-old son Tripp with ex-fiancé Levi Johnston. It is clear that Bristol could not be happier about the news and could not be more excited to share it with the world. However, with Bristol being a young mom comes criticism — something that Bristol has been used to since being in the public eye. But just because Bristol Palin has been trending on Twitter and is back in the news does not mean that she has to be made fun of. Seriously, she's pregnant — let the woman be happy about it. Some Twitter users decided to make light of this moment:

But she shouldn't be judged for bringing a new baby into a happy home. It seems as if people only remember Bristol by her past and not who she currently is. In 2008, people were introduced to Bristol when her mother joined Republican Party presidential nominee John McCain as the vice presidential candidate. At the time, Bristol was 17-years-old and pregnant with her first child — which raised some eyebrows considering she was unmarried, still a teenager, and her mother was a face of the conservative Republican Party. That made Bristol the prime candidate for scrutiny. According to a CNN story from 2008, Sarah had to give a public statement about her daughter's pregnancy and that her daughter was going to keep her unborn child, despite it being controversial at the time.

Bristol came under fire, yet again when she announced her second pregnancy in June 2015, just shortly after "mysteriously ending" her engagement to Meyer, writing on her personal blog:

I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant. Honestly, I've been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one. I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, my close friends, and many of you. But please respect Tripp's and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy.

While that announcement seems shrouded in sadness, Bristol's most recent pregnancy announcement could not be happier. Now married with two kids, it seems like Bristol is in an amazing place and could not be happier to bring a new life into the world. Bristol Palin should not be the butt of anyone's jokes at this time as she has been the punch line to jokes for too long. Let her celebrate this pregnancy and not be judged for her past.

Congratulations to the couple.
