Freeform's 13 Nights Of Halloween 2017 Schedule Is Here To Bring On The Scares

Fall is upon us, my friends, and with it comes one of the most glorious holidays of the year. No, I'm not referring to Thanksgiving or Christmas (though I do love eating food and opening presents). I'm talking about spooktacular season of Halloween. It's a time when scaring people is not only acceptable, but encouraged. It's a time when eating copious amounts of candy on the regular is a given. And it's a time when Halloween movies are never in short supply, thanks in large part to Freeform's 13 Nights Of Halloween lineup.

The network has now officially released the 2017 schedule and with it comes all of the usual favorites, such as Hocus Pocus, The Addams Family, and Sleepy Hollow, along with a few confusing options thrown into the mix like Men in Black and Monsters Inc. (Don't get me wrong, these are great viewing options. I'm just not sure how Halloween factors into it.) This lineup is a time-honored custom that Freeform has provided to the horror-loving masses for many years. Since it's extremely difficult to find these classic films anywhere else on streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and countless others, it's nice to be able to rely on Freeform to make sure we don't miss out on our usual quota of scares.

One of my personal favorites, Beetlejuice, is noticeably absent from the list, which feels like a major oversight. I expected it to be part of the Tim Burton marathon taking place on Monday, Oct. 23, but alas, it is nowhere to be found. Thankfully the Sanderson sisters are on full display throughout the lineup, which is good news since it isn't really Halloween until I've watched Hocus Pocus at least half a dozen times (and performed "I Put A Spell On You" in front of my friends and neighbors, obvs.).

So bring on the fall weather, candy corn, and pumpkin spice beverages. Now that Freeform's 13 Nights of Halloween schedule is here, I'm officially ready for the spooky festivities to begin!
