On Thursday, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Britax has recalled 676,000 strollers in the U.S. after receiving 26 reports of car seats detaching from travel systems. So how can you tell if your Britax Stroller has been recalled? The recalled models include Britax B-Agile and BOB Motion, according to CNN. The CPSC notes that in addition to the U.S. strollers, 41,000 models sold in Canada and Mexico are also affected. The folding single and double strollers, which feature "Click & Go" receiver mounts that attach the car seat to the stroller, have a "damaged receiver mount" that "can cause the car seat to disengage and fall unexpectedly," according to the recall notice. In a statement provided to Romper, Maria Montaño, president of Britax Americas, said, "Even though the ratio of incidents is less than 0.2 percent, that number is too high. We invest everything we have to deliver a safe product that parents can depend on. We’re already taking the appropriate steps to do better."
In addition to the injury reports, Britax has also received 33 reports of car seats "unexpectedly disconnecting" and falling off of the strollers, and 1,337 reports of strollers with damaged receiver mounts. Consumers are urged to stop using the Click & Go receiver mounts immediately. The stroller can still be used independently, but not with a car seat attached. Owners of single strollers can contact Britax at 844-227-0300 or stroller.recall@britax.com for a free repair kit. There is no repair kit for double strollers at this time.
All colors are affected. The recalled models can be identified by the model number, which is found on the inside of the stroller’s metal frame near the right rear wheel for single strollers and in the front middle underside of the frame on double strollers. The following model numbers are included in the recall:

According to Britax, "it is safe to use your stroller in the recline-mode for infants." Consumers should dispose of their "Click & Go" receiver mounts, and not return the product to the store. Those who have trouble getting a resolution from Britax should contact the CPSC at 800-638-2772.
