Jon Snow Is The King In The North On ‘Game Of Thrones’ And The Internet Can't Handle It
On the final episode of season 6 on Game of Thrones, our collective hearts were both broken and validated. While we had to deal with an attack that made "The Red Wedding" look like child's play, we were also able to watch our favorites (well, some of our favorites) rise to power. Sure, Cersei might be sitting on the Iron Throne right now, but Jon Snow is The Kind of the North on Game of Thrones, and if that isn't worth some mild celebration, I don't know what is.
It's been a long time coming for the Bastard of Winterfell, who has suffered as the hands of the Night's Watch, fell in love with a Wildling only to watch her die, was killed only to be brought back to life via Melisandre and survived the Battle of the Bastards (which, I mean, couldn't have been that easy). There were moments throughout this show when you were positive Jon Snow wouldn't get what was rightfully his, but that was put to rest at the end of Season 6. In a moment that can only be described as "well earned" and "emotional," Jon Snow sits beside his half-sister, Sansa, as Lords from the North pledged their undying allegiance to Jon Snow, proclaiming him the true King of the North. In fact, in a powerful statement by a young girl, she goes so far as to say, "It doesn't matter if he's a bastard. Ned Stark's blood runs through his veins."
Goosebumps were felt by viewers around the country and, well, we just can't wait to sees what The White Wolf does next season.
