Julia Stiles Posted Her First Baby Bump Selfie To Instagram, & It's So Sweet

Late '90s teen movies may have given Julia Stiles a special place in the hearts of millennials, and while her acting career is still going strong, these days she's actually making headlines for a different reason: she's pregnant. The actress first confirmed the news two months ago while promoting her latest project, Riviera, in the UK. But on Tuesday, Julia Stiles posted a baby bump selfie to Instagram, and it was a super cute reveal for the usually-private star.

According to E! News, the photo marks the first time that the mom-to-be has specifically shared a photo of herself pregnant, and it seems like perhaps she hadn't really been intending to originally. In the caption, Stiles wrote, "Alright, I couldn't resist," and posted a photo of her standing sideways in front of a mirror. Her followers were thrilled to see the sweet shot, although it's not actually the first time the world has seen an expectant Stiles' growing belly. According to People, news of Stiles' pregnancy first surfaced surfaced after an interview she did with Magic FM radio presenter Nick Snaith in June to promote her 10-part television thriller, and in a pic Snaith posted to Twitter following the chat, the actress could be seen cradling her bump.

The baby will be the first child for Stiles and her fiancé Preston J. Cook, who met in 2015 when he worked as a camera assistant on her film, Go With Me, according to Us Weekly. The two became engaged on Christmas Eve the same year, after Cook proposed on vacation in Isla Grande, Colombia. Stiles later revealed the news on her Instagram account, posting a photo of her engagement ring along with the caption, "Best Christmas Ever!"

The two clearly don't seem to be in any rush to actually tie the knot though: in 2016, Stiles told People that the couple was taking wedding planning "really slow," and now, with a baby on the way, it's pretty safe to assume they've got bigger things to think about.

Given Stiles' low-key social media style, it might be a bit soon to assume that her latest post means she's ready to share the details of her pregnancy with her fans. But it does seem pretty clear that the actress is enjoying being pregnant, and that she's really looking forward to welcoming her first child into the world.
