Kacey Musgraves’ ACM Awards Dress On The Red Carpet Was Super Chic

Country isn't all about jeans and riding boots, ladies, and Kacey Musgraves ACM Awards dress on the red carpet this year proves it. Musgraves kept is simple and elegant in a sleek black gown that one Twitter user described as "glam-goth," and that pretty much sums it up. Her look for the ACM Awards was almost Oscars red carpet-worthy, it was so elegant. To top off the look, the singer had her hair super straight and parted down the middle. But the Texas native always knows what's up. Most recently, she wowed fans at the Grammys in January in a fluffy deep purple Armani Prive dress. The ombre cupcake dress had fans calling her a style "genius." Which she sort of is — it's all about going big or going home when it comes to awards shows for Musgrave when it comes to colors, textures, and casual high ponytails. On Sunday, she even had the best accessory, her boyfriend, Misa Arriaga, who's also a guitarist in her band and looked rather dapper himself in his tux.

Musgraves was up for Female Vocalist of the Year on Sunday, which she's been nominated for since she made it onto the scene in 2013, although she hasn't yet taken it home. Her only other ACM Awards are for Same Trailer Different Park, which won both Album of the Year and Best Producer in 2013. Her most current album, Pageant Material, was released just this past summer and has gotten some rave reviews from fans. This might be Musgraves' year. At any rate, she also got a horse ACM Awards weekend and got to hang out with Dolly Parton in the lead up to the awards broadcast. Even if she loses, in that dress, she's slaying it anyway.

She was also scheduled to perform on Sunday night, so we might get double the Musgraves fashion if she rocks a different look for her performance. At the CMA Awards in November, she went from classy to, well, pants-less, for her performance of "Dime Store Cowgirl." Her dress was covered in Swarovski crystals, including her cowgirl hat. Musgraves knows how to shift seamlessly through all sorts of different styles, whether it's vintage denim or super modern and trendy tops. On Sunday at the ACMs, she certainly didn't disappoint.
