Ryan & Blake's Relationship Couldn't Be Cuter

by Jen McGuire

America loves Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Not only are the actors preternaturally perfect looking, but they manage to be grounded, funny, talented, and parents to two adorable little girls. I've also heard Lively is a dynamite baker, but I can't fully let that information invade my reality. It would be too much. You know who else really loves Lively and Reynolds? They do. Check out these Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively quotes about their partnership, and you'll see they are genuinely in love. Note: if their adorable bond makes you want to force your partner into a gushy romantic situation, please don't blame me. I'm just the messenger.

The couple made news last week when they finally offered us mere mortals a glimpse at their unspeakably adorable little cherubs (2-year-old daughter James and 2-month-old daughter Ines) when Reynolds was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Of course, they're always making news just by being in love and making hit movies like Deadpool and The Shallows, but it's those little glimpses into their personal lives that really keep this old heart ticking along. Especially when Reynolds waxes poetic, as he did at the Hollywood Walk of Fame event, about his wife:

I want to thank my wife, Blake, who is sitting right there who is everything to me. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You make everything better—absolutely everything in my life better. You've given us two of the most incredible children that I could ever hope to have. You've made me the father of my dreams when I thought I only had fun uncle potential.

As for Lively, she knows she's got a good man by her side and won't pretend he's anything less than amazing. She told Us Weekly:

He’s always good to me. That’s like a jerky thing to say because you want to be able to complain about your husband and be that person, but he takes pretty good care of me.

Lively also told Vogue that they work well together as a team:

Everything we do in life we do together. If I'm working on a movie, he helps me with my character; I do the same with him. Picking out a coffee table. What we're going to eat. He's a beautiful writer—he's written a lot of stuff for us. And he's got a great barometer and he knows me, so he will tell me if it's not as good as it can be.

When Lively gave birth to the couple's first daughter James (who calls her "Mama") in 2014, Reynolds told Us Magazine:

My wife is the real, I mean she is a mercenary. At one point in the middle of the delivery, the doctor's cell phone went off and she said, 'Oh, no. Go ahead, take a personal call. Feel free.' She was cracking jokes in the delivery room. She may have been on drugs, but I don't ask personal questions.

That doesn't mean he's lost that lovin' feeling though; when he was accepting an award for Best Comedic Performance at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, Reynolds said:

I want to thank my wife, Blake. Everything I do is to make her laugh, especially the sex.

Ultimately, Reynolds likes to kid around about pretty much anything (please, please check out his Twitter feed if you want to get lost for an hour or 10); except how he feels about his wife and family. The actor told Us Magazine:

I'm not one for vomiting declarations of sentiment out across the airwaves, but when we had that baby, I fell more in love with my wife than I'd ever been in my entire life. I couldn't even believe it. . . . I used to say to [Blake], 'I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you.' I would say that to my wife.

And who can ask for more than that, right?
