Generally, when I'm in the midst of one of these mild crises, I turn to two things: my mother, and my zodiac sign. Yes, it's totally possible to figure out what you need in a job, based on your astrological sign.
So rather than taking yet another personality quiz or searching through the massive amount of job websites out there, why not take a break from the overload, and turn to the stars to help you decipher what it is you're meant to do? Of course, these guidelines provided by astrologers shouldn't be the driving factor in you making a change. Rather than relying solely on the following career traits to look for, try finding a balance between what your astrological sign says you need in a job, what makes you happy, and what you totally kick butt at. Aries (March 21 - April 29)
Aries are the most strong-willed of the zodiac signs, which means that they're natural born leaders. Though this is an excellent combination to be a boss, according to astrologer Kelli Fox, it may not be the best sign to be in a follower position. Fox also wrote that Aries are very likely to start projects, but not very likely to follow through with them. So having a good support team in your workplace will help you take your goals to the finish line.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus are hardworking, loyal, slightly stubborn folk. You're a big fan of security and having a steady income, so finding a job with an established company rather than a start up may be the best route for you. You'll shine in any role that gives you free reign with creativity, thanks to your ruling planet Venus.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
According to Refinery29's resident astrologers, The Astrotwins, Geminis are sociable creatures, so you should gravitate towards a career that has a lot of potential for human interaction. You're also natural communicators and writers, so you'd do well in a marketing or PR job. That twin reputation? Not just a myth. Geminis work well in partnerships, especially with someone who's good at following through, and staying focused.
Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers are the most nurturing sign of the zodiac, so they make great caretakers. Astrologer Kelli Fox told Marie Claire, as a Cancer, you should look for a job where you can give advice, problem solve, and see your work making a difference.
Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Charming and persuasive, Leos excel in positions of leadership. But they really have to believe in what they're selling in order to cultivate a happy work life, and maintain a successful track record. You also love to help others, so finding a job where you can integrate that into your work will leave you feeling satisfied at the end of the day.
Virgo (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22)
According to the Astrotwins, Virgo strengths lie in their perfectionist attitudes. You excel in jobs that have to do with keeping things organized, keeping people on track, and following the rules. You're also drawn to natural healing techniques and serving others.
Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22)
Fox told Marie Claire that Libras excel at bringing people together, so any job where you get a chance to play mediator is one you'll do well at. You're also a social creature, and you're a natural at reading people, which is why diplomatic jobs and law enforcement work mesh well with your sign.
