I think everyone can agree with me when I say that being a Sherlock fan can sometimes be bittersweet. Yes, the show is addictive and the acting is amazing, but just as quickly as Sherlock Season 4 came into our lives, it gets taken away almost just as fast. With only three episodes debuting this season (as per usual), that leaves us with very little time to spend with our beloved detective. So it's only natural to immediately start to wonder when Sherlock Season 4 will be on Netflix so that you can enjoy this dynamic duo's antics over and over again.
I'm pleased to say that, unlike the torturously long wait fans are usually put through in-between seasons, the latest season of Sherlock tends to pop up on the streaming service relatively quickly by comparison. Instead of waiting years, we're probably only going to have to wait a few months before rewatching the fourth installment in its entirety. Back when Sherlock Season 3 debuted in January 2014, it only took until early June for it to appear on Netflix. So unless the series and streaming service have reached a different arrangement, I'd wager that a similiar pattern will present itself this year as well. However, it's important to note that no official release date has been confirmed as of yet.
Granted, even if it does make its way to Netflix by June, that's still a decent amount of time before the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman will grace our television screens while playing these now-iconic characters, but given how often fans are used to waiting on this show, it's not all that bad. Plus, if you're really looking for a way to help pass the time, you could always binge watch the first three seasons again. (Sounds like the perfect excuse to me!)
Odds are most of you have already been watching Season 4 since it debuts on New Year's Day, so you know the kind of heartache that's in store. And for those of you who have yet to experience it firsthand, well... good luck, I suppose. Seriously though, it's a phenomenal season even by Sherlock standards, which is really saying something. So whether you've already watched it or not doesn't really matter because you'll undoubtedly want to do it again and again. And luckily, we won't have to wait very long for that to happen.
But until that time comes... the game is still on!
