Fifth Harmony Has A Good Reason To Perform On 'DWTS'

by Zakiya Jamal

The new season of Dancing with the Stars is here and this season looks better than ever. This season's cast includes Olympic gold medal gymnast Simone Biles, Glee star Heather Morris, Mr. T, and Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei, just to name a few. With Kordei as part of the cast, 5H fans can't help but wonder if Fifth Harmony will perform on Dancing With the Stars. So far there's been no announcement of a performance, but it wouldn't be surprising since members of the group will surely come to the show to support Normani while she competes.

Normani will be competing alongside two-time Mirror Ball trophy winner Val Chmerkovskiy. He won the competition last year with partner gymnast Laurie Hernandez. It's already clear Normani and Val have bonded. The dancer joined Fifth Harmony onstage during their performance at RodeoHouston on Friday, March 17. It seems like this duo is already trying to get fans early support. Val not only hung out with the girl group, he even spent some time dancing with Normani's grandmother backstage.

On stage Normani's bandmate Ally Brooke Hernandez wished Normani the best and made it clear that her girls have her back 100 percent. "We knew from the day that we met you how phenomenal a talent you are, especially an incredible dancer," the singer said according to CultureMap Houston. "We can't wait to see you on that stage doing outstanding and killing it just like you do out here with us."

It's obvious 5H has Normani's back and even if they don't perform on the show (although I'm sure they will at some point), they'll definitely be there in the audience for at least a few shows.

If Fifth Harmony does perform during this season, it won't be the first time they've done so. The group performed "All In My Head (Flex)" last year on the show as well as "Worth It," back in 2015. Back then the group still had five members, but at the end of last year Camila Cabello left the group to pursue her solo career. Her exit from the group was surrounded by a bit of drama, with the group and Cabello telling two different stories about how the split came to be.

Nevertheless, both 5H and Cabello seem to be doing well now and while it's unlikely Cabello will be cheering on her former bandmate, at least all five ladies now seem to be cordial.

You can see Normani on Dancing With the Stars when it premieres on Monday, March 20 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
