Alexia McKay is a news writer for Romper, where she covers viral parenting trends as well as entertainment and celebrity news. She is also the publisher and founder RoyalTee Magazine, a digital and print quarterly publication that focuses on millennial, minority men and women who are making impacts in business, art, and humanitarian works through entrepreneurial endeavors. She also enjoys writing about business-related topics and mental health. With over 11 years in the industry, Alexia, a graduate of Florida A&M University, has worked at CBS, ABC, FOX, and Spectrum news affiliates as a television news producer. Aside from her own platform, her work has appeared in the Florida Courier, The Daytona Times, and the Michael Baisden Show. She has also covered major entertainment events such as the BET Awards in Los Angeles and conducted various celebrity interviews. When she is not working, Alexia enjoys traveling, online shopping, sushi, catching up with friends, and being a bird mother to her parakeet, Lemon Drop.
