Olivia Hinebaugh
Olivia is an author, a cued language transliterator for deaf and hard of hearing students, and mom to an ten-year-old girl, a seven-year-old girl, and a busy four-year-old boy. She loves covering children's publishing, because discovering books her kids will love is an amazing perk. She will also happily talk about new parenthood, birth, mental health, and raising transgender children. Along with parenting and book articles, she writes kids' books. Her debut YA novel THE BIRDS, THE BEES, AND YOU AND ME published in January 2019. She's also written for Mothering and the Washington Post. Three of her personal essays about breastfeeding appear in the book TO THREE AND BEYOND. Olivia was also honored to perform a personal essay about life with panic disorder for the inaugural production of This Is My Brave. Like most modern moms, Olivia juggles a lot of things and wears a lot of hats. This means a) she writes whenever the kids are sleeping and b) her house is often messy. Some people can do it all. Olivia is not one of those people.
