Tim Thomas

Tim Thomas is a musician/fundraiser/blogger/daddy who's lived in Brooklyn for the past 30 years after growing up in Iowa. His band is Babe the blue OX. He works for Bang on a Can. His blog is The Q at Parkside, and he writes about neighborhood happenings, politics, schools, gentrification and race. He's been a six year member of his Community Board. He's been an active PTA member, part of the School Leadership Team and thinks good teachers are the most important people in the world. His girls are 6 and 9, and his wife is a dancer/decorator/designer. They live in the Lefferts Gardens part of Flatbush.
